Happy World Theatre Day!

Today is World Theatre Day, a day of celebration for people all over the world who understand the value and importance of theatre as a form of art. World Theatre Day has been recognized by theatre professionals and organizations since 1962.

Art is a central component of STEAM education and the experiences offered at DISCOVERY Children’s Museum, and we couldn’t be more proud of our Riseman Family Theatre exhibit inside Fantasy Festival on our first floor. It’s a place for southern Nevada’s next biggest stars to get their starts by performing on stage, acting as sound and light engineers, costume designers and so much more.

This beautiful exhibit was made possible by Lee and Benson Riseman of Las Vegas, who understand the importance of art and theatre not only in this city of entertainment but across the globe as well.
