Dear Friends of DISCOVERY Children’s Museum,

DISCOVERY Children’s Museum’s top priority is the safety and well-being of our visitors, employees, and community as a whole. Based on the best information available to us today from public health officials who are urging everyone to practice social distancing in an attempt to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), we have decided to temporarily close our doors. The closure will begin Monday, March 16, 2020 and remain in effect, at a minimum, until Monday, April 13, 2020, at which time we will notify you with any updates or potential changes in that timeline.

During its closure, DISCOVERY Children’s Museum will undergo continued thorough cleanings. Please monitor our website and social media channels to stay informed about our next steps, as well as to find virtual experiences for your children to enjoy at home.

In the meantime, we encourage everyone to educate themselves and their children on how to protect themselves and those around them. The best resources for how to do so include the CDC and World Health Organization websites, as well as the newly created local website recently announced by Governor Steve Sisolak,

Thank you for your continued support and understanding. We look forward to seeing you and your families again soon at the Museum.

Melissa D. Kaiser, CEO
