Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month – Margarita Engle
Time: Ongoing throughout the Day
Location: Toddler Town – Level 1
Description: Enjoy the picture book “The Sky Painter Louis Fuertes, Bird Artist,” by Newbery Honor winning author Margarita Engle. Use watercolor paints to capture the deep sense of wonder that Louis Fuertes felt when he painted the sky.

Description: Julio C. Palmaz created the first balloon expandable stent and received a patent. Explore this great inventor and how a stent works.

Color My World – Special for Little Learners (5 years old and younger)!

Description: Summer fun for our Little Learners! Color makes our world a bright and beautiful place. Join us as we explore color together through story time and color mixing experiments.

Inventions 101

Description: Here is your chance to learn about how ideas become patented inventions that make our lives easier. Take a fun filled journey with us through the Engineering Design Process.

Water, Color, Fun!

Description: Learn all about color, color mixing and brush techniques in this fun experience. Find the colorful artist within!

Super Cold Science

Description: At 320 degrees below zero (Fahrenheit) fascinating things begin to happen! Explore the world of “super cold” temperatures in this chilling presentation.

What’s in the Trash?
Time: 11:45am
Location: Eco City – Level 2
Description: Dive in and take a closer look at what’s in the trash and see what you discover and learn a little about sustainability also!

Go, Slow, Whoa!
Time: 12:45pm
Location: It’s Your Choice – Level 2
Description: Do you want to know which foods to eat in order to be healthy? Learn the differences between them in this fun and interactive game of food.

SOUND, Lights, Action!
Time: 1:15pm
Location: Fantasy Festival – Level 1
Description: No performance is complete without the perfect SOUND. Experiment with different sound effects, learn how to use sound and light to enhance a production and become familiar with the sound and light board in Fantasy Festival. All of this and more in this engaging demonstration.

It’s Game Time!!
Time: 2:45pm
Location: It’s Your Choice – Level 2
Description: Summer is the perfect time for fun, games, and health and fitness challenges. Bring your best game face and be ready to participate.

Ancient Images
Time: 3:00pm
Location: Solve It! Ancient City – Level 3
Description: Petroglyph, pictograph, geoglyph or hieroglyph – which is it? Join us as we compare and contrast these ancient forms of communication while exploring how scientists determine the meaning and date them. Also, work together to build your very own geoglyph.

Cody is Lost in the Desert Puppet Show
