Giving Options

Bequest: A gift you make by naming DISCOVERY Children’s Museum in your will, living trust or estate plan.

Retirement Plan, Life Insurance and Other Beneficiary Designations: DISCOVERY will accept a gift of life insurance provided that the policy has a positive cash surrender value and DISCOVERY has been named both beneficiary and irrevocable owner of the policy.

IRA Charitable Rollover: DISCOVERY will accept gifts directly transferred from an IRA as permitted under the Pension Protection Act of 2006 and subsequent extensions.

Charitable Gift Annuity: A gift to DISCOVERY in exchange for quarterly payments to you or your spouse. The minimum amount to establish a new gift annuity is $10,000. DISCOVERY will voluntarily adhere to the maximum rates recommended by the American Council on Gift Annuities.

Charitable Remainder Trust: A trust pays income to you—or those you name—before DISCOVERY receives the remainder. DISCOVERY will serve as trustee of charitable remainder trusts under certain provisions.
