DISCOVERY Children's Museum - Blog

In accordance with Nevada Governor Sisolak’s updated directive to end the statewide mask mandate, effective immediately, DISCOVERY Children’s Museum will no longer require masks to be worn by any age group. We respect and ask others to respect the choice of visitors and employees who decide to continue wearing a mask.

After a year-long closure, the 12-level Summit gallery that spans DISCOVERY Children's Museum's three floors is back open and ready for your little ones to explore!

February 11th is International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Did you know the “S” in STEAM, the curriculum taught through interactive play here at DISCOVERY, stands for science? That makes every day a day of science here! At present, though, less than 30 percent of all female students select STEM-related fields in higher education. In order to honor this special day's mission of achieving full and equal access to and participation in science for women and girls, let’s take a look at a few women currently changing the world through science!

Avoid the "Summer Slide" by registering for our fun and exciting, brain-boosting summer camps! Camps start on May 31st but space is limited, so sign up today to secure your spot!

Educators from around the state (both formal and informal) are invited to join us for the 2021 NV STEAM Conference, which will be completely virtual and feature keynote speakers including DISCOVERY's own Director of Learning Experiences, Laura Christian.

DISCOVERY Children’s Museum is honored to once again be teaming up with Subaru of America and Findlay’s Subaru of Las Vegas as a charitable recipient of their annual Share the Love campaign!

To enter DISCOVERY, all individuals aged 2 and older are required to wear a cloth face covering. Please take a few moments to read through some other new guidelines we've put in place to ensure the health and safety of all visitors, staff, and volunteers.
